Why Does My Account Say "Free" When I’m Paying?

Paid account looks free? Check other emails, review billing, or contact support to access your subscription.

Sometimes customers see that their account shows as Free even though they’re being billed for a paid subscription. This usually happens because the paid subscription is linked to a different email address than the one they’re currently logged in with. For example:

  • You may have accidentally created a brand-new free account when trying to log in.
  • You may have registered with one email (like a school, work, or personal email), but your subscription is under another.

How to Find Your Paid Account

  1. Check your other email addresses
Try logging in with any other emails you may have used when signing up (work email, school email, or an older personal email).
  2. Use the "Forgot Password" link
Enter each of your possible emails to see which one has an active Storyboard That account.
  3. Look at your credit card statement
The charge may include the email linked to your subscription, which can help you identify the right login.
  4. Still can’t find it? Contact us.
Please send the following information to hello@storyboardthat.com:
    • The name on the card being charged
    • The last 4 digits of the card
    • The date and amount of the most recent charge
With this, we can quickly locate your paid account and help you log in.

Quick Tip: If you just created a new account and it says Free, don’t worry—your paid subscription is still safe. You’ll just need to log out and log back in with the correct email.
