Embedding Content - Google Workspace

Embed videos, maps, presentations, and more into your storyboards!

Add dimension and supplemental material to your storyboards by incorporating interactive media! The Storyboard Creator currently supports embedding from YouTube, Google Maps, and Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms. 

Follow these simple steps to embed media from your favorite site in seconds.

Google Workspace: Embed documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and forms

  1. Once you’ve created your scene in the Storyboard Creator, click “Upload”. 
  2. Click “Embed”, and a modal will appear prompting you to paste an embed code snippet. 
  3. Open your file in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, or Forms. 
  4. At the top, click “File”, and then “Share”, and then “Publish to web”.
    1. For Google Forms, click “Send”.
  5. In the window that appears, click “Embed”.
  6. Choose a publishing option and access settings:
    1. Spreadsheet: Choose to publish the entire spreadsheet or individual sheets.
    2. Presentation: Choose a presentation size and how quickly to change the slides. 
    3. Forms: Choose a size for your form. 
  7. Click “Publish” and copy the HTML code.
  8. Go back to the Storyboard Creator, and paste the HTML code into the text box.
    1. Click “Let’s Go!”
  9. Your document, spreadsheet, or presentation will now be in your uploaded content. Drag and drop into your storyboard. 
  10. Adjust the size and position, and voila! Your content can now be displayed directly from your storyboard.
